Cry Baby BridgeThis is a legend about a women and her child that got into a car accident on this bridge. Its said that the women haunts the area where the bridge used to be. Since this is close to my hometown, I can say that I've tried this before, and it worked. It was terrifying. The legend that I was brought up to believe was that if someone goes there and turns their car off and wait that they will hear the crying and the car will get pushed up the hill. That's exactly what I experienced. So freaky.

Hannah HouseThis is a story of a man wanting to help get slaves to freedom. He turned his house into a resting point for slaves traveling the underground railroad. On one of the nights that he had slaves hidden away in his basement for the night, the one oil lamp that was lighting the basement, fell over causing the basement to catch flames. As did the slaves. Its told that people can hear moaning of the dying slaves, they can see apparitions of what's thought to Hannah himself, and they can feel the cold presence of the paranormal there. The Hannah House also does haunted tours ever year, click the link for more information.

Chapel Road ChurchThe origin of this legend is unknown. But it is believed that if someone goes and parks reverse in the drive way and turn off the car, they will start to hear unpleasant sounds. They might hear dogs barking or yelping, and maybe the sounds of people moaning. And if they wait long enough they might even see hand prints on the windows. Since this legend is another one close to my home, this is another one I have first hand experience with. Everything that is said to have happened, happened to me and my car when I went.
